State Tournament News:
The Dixie State Softball Tournaments have ended for 2008. For a view of the
State Champions you may click on the "State Tournaments" button on the left.
This will allow you to see the State brackets for the Darlings, Angels,
Ponytails, Belles and Debs. For those that came to visit, we enjoyed your
company. For those of you that could not make this year, we look forward to
seeing you next year as you join us for great family fun!
With the end of the 2008 Alabama Dixie Softball State Tournaments in Montgomery, Alabama the Champions have been decided and an era of my life has ended. I will be leaving the position of Alabama Dixie Softball State Director and will be moving to the position of Commissioner of Belles for Dixie Softball. Over the past six years I have made memorable friendships that I will carry with me always. As I leave for my new position, I look back with pride and satisfaction at the number of supporters and friends who have helped me so selflessly during the past years. I would like to thank my District Directors and all others who gave of their time and effort to make Dixie Softball what it is today. The list is too long for me to indicate specific names so I will have to give my heartfelt thanks to one and all who gave me their friendship and their labor during my time as Alabama State Director. I thank you all and I will be seeing you often!
I would like to congratulate the new Alabama Dixie State Director, Mr. Wayne Baker, from Eufaula, Alabama! I leave with full confidence in the caliber of my replacement.
